Colin is experienced in leading the rescheduling of distressed debt situations, and in the arrangement of structured trade finance transactions. He has extensive experience of structuring emerging market supplier and customer finance, funded by international trade finance banks, and risk mitigated via limited recourse facilities and sophisticated insurance products. He has strong negotiating and inter-personal skills which have facilitated an excellent track record in the arrangement of trade finance facilities and in the securing of recoveries.

• Proven ability to identify solutions to complex multinational trade and finance situations. Experienced in coordinating multi–disciplinary teams including commercial, trading, legal and banking specialists.
• 30 year track record of closing Structured Trade Finance, Commodity Finance and Countertrade transactions in Emerging Markets on behalf of multinational clients.
• Strong and recent history of securing high level of recoveries from impaired loans arising in distressed emerging market natural resources situations. Ability to analyse quickly dynamic commodities situations and revaluation of commodity assets.
• Experienced in arrangement of finance for goods under Collateral Management.
• Career experience includes arrangement of Export Finance, Project Finance and Mining Finance facilities.
